...Fashion makes what could be a mudane necessity of everyday life creative, exciting and interesting. Clothes are more to me than just clothes, they are a form of art. Our bodies are like canvas, and when we dress we make a picture in the world! Fashion and personal style for me are forms of self expression and escapism. How we dress is important whether we are choosing to dress to reveal or conceal parts of our personality. It is the way we wish the world to see us, so even if the intention is to dress for the latter it still give us hints to who people are. I love mixing high fashion with vintage. I don't just dress to look pretty and I'm quite experimental..I dress for myself and will wear anything as long as I like it even if others are not quite so sure. It's important that your happy!!

"Silent rivers run deep"

I  heart kimono’s and kaftan especially this one -It’s one of my favourites!
I can’t help dancing with the fringing when I am wearing it.
For some reason it makes me think of the quote: ‘Silent rivers run deep’. The brains way of association can be strange sometimes, but it reminds me of an intuitive character who is somewhat quiet and introvert on the top but underneath is full of thought, depth and heart-felt beliefs. Someone who is free, poetic and artistic.
I guess this is because it is not garish or in your face and I feel being muted in a cream sheer fabric that on first glance it can seem in a way delicate and discrete but the tassels and cream embroidery detailing make it interesting, unique and at the same time a statement. When you take a closer look at it you realise there is alot more going on.

tranquillité d'esprit

I love people and enjoy socialising but there are just somedays
which you need to sit, unwind and be with your own mind.

The dress I am wearing here is from a market and is made from indian silk. The colour of it drew me in instantly. There is something mesmerising about rich blue colours like this and green-blues to me. I find them both refreshing and calming at the same time. Maybe it is because they remind me of water and me being a piscean.

This dress/skirt can be worn in three different dress styles and a skirt. It is also made from two layers of different shades and patterns. The one side is a slightly lighter turquoise blue with a paisley like print which catches the light more whereas the otherside is a slightly deeper turquoise with a small purple and citrine flower print and a purple and metallic gold band which creates a border.

The perfect colour to wear to take you away from the busy hustle and bustles of life.

70's Glam

Wow! I love both of these dresses from River Islands New Season Collection.
They have such a 70's glamour feel to them and they remind me of Gucci AW11-12.
Not instore yet but hopefully they will be soon!!

circus and icecream

I really need to start keeping on top of these posts alot more as some of these have been taken months ago and are not in any chronological order but I do not get enough time to blog as I wish..

This was not long after Circus for Elephants was released and
this evening I wanted to feel circus-like with the sequins and big bow.

I really love this dress- the sequin detail and the cut out top reminded me of the Miu Miu SS10 a show that completely blew me away and none of the following really compared for me until this seasons AW11-12 winter show (which I will do a post soon on).

Miu Miu SS10

I still dream of the shoes from this collection..xxx
