...Fashion makes what could be a mudane necessity of everyday life creative, exciting and interesting. Clothes are more to me than just clothes, they are a form of art. Our bodies are like canvas, and when we dress we make a picture in the world! Fashion and personal style for me are forms of self expression and escapism. How we dress is important whether we are choosing to dress to reveal or conceal parts of our personality. It is the way we wish the world to see us, so even if the intention is to dress for the latter it still give us hints to who people are. I love mixing high fashion with vintage. I don't just dress to look pretty and I'm quite experimental..I dress for myself and will wear anything as long as I like it even if others are not quite so sure. It's important that your happy!!

I Heard it on the radio...

I love how the dalmation print adds a quirky touch my classic tux dress.

I found the little radio in a charity shop! It's covered in tan leather. There's something beautiful about old things and it works perfectly too!

I love this leopard sweater I got from Beaten Crimson.
One of the best things I have purchased. It's so cosy, comfy and striking and I love the leopard's green eyes.

Today I had chinese to celebrate (for breakfast in fact :s) and I will go to London to celebrate properly with friends on the weekend! Hope you all enjoyed your days!! xx

This weekend just past I spent most of my time with nature and it was one of the nicest weekends I have had for a while.

Versace H&M: Pre-Spring 12

I am not so keen on the Versace H&M Pre-Spring Collection. I do not think it comes close to the winter collection. It just doesn't have the WOW factor for me. I actually prefer the Men's collection over the women's. Though what I really like is the advertising campaign. Everything looks amazing on Abby Lee  Kershaw of course and I love how the shots look like stills but then some parts are like movies. I find the moving water and music captivating even if a little sinister.

I haven't decided if I will get anything from this collection yet but if I do it will be between the white jeans with gold versace style embroidery down the sides, the printed shirt (I really like its look tied up like in picture 3) and the gold stilletos which I think would go well with the Bottoni Oro dresses I got from the first release (though I can not see them online yet).

POP LADY, a new world

POP: Issue 25

These are from POP Magazine's AW11 Issue and I have wanted to post them for a while.

I find flamingoes mesmerising and it looks like it is not just me who finds beauty in their peculiarity.

They are taken by Sean and Seng and styled by Tamara Rothstein. I love how Liya Kebede emulates the flamingo with the light pink contrasting against her skin, her fragile arms, her body posture (especially in the front facing picture where she wears the Miu Miu dress) and her stiff pony tail.

I am a huge fan of Sean and Seng's work which you can see here and here.

After Hours...

I love this minty-green/ aquamarine colour and the fact that the velvet gives it different tones. They remind me of the sea.
I love these vintage Babycham vintage I picked up from a charity shop too.

Red Smoke.

I was lucky enough to find this dress the week after the Versace H&M release when visiting London with my friend Susie and I was keeping it especially to wear first at Christmas. Even though, less wearable it is probably my favourite piece. It is made so well and the corset fits lovely.
Been as it was Christmas I went for a total red and gold look.
