...Fashion makes what could be a mudane necessity of everyday life creative, exciting and interesting. Clothes are more to me than just clothes, they are a form of art. Our bodies are like canvas, and when we dress we make a picture in the world! Fashion and personal style for me are forms of self expression and escapism. How we dress is important whether we are choosing to dress to reveal or conceal parts of our personality. It is the way we wish the world to see us, so even if the intention is to dress for the latter it still give us hints to who people are. I love mixing high fashion with vintage. I don't just dress to look pretty and I'm quite experimental..I dress for myself and will wear anything as long as I like it even if others are not quite so sure. It's important that your happy!!

National Anthem

I love Lana Del Rey's new video for National Anthem.
The styling is beautiful and everything is perfect as usual!!

Egyptian Mermaid

Dress: Love
Platform wedges: Topshop
Bumbag: H&M
T: Unique SS12

Another post showing my Topshop Unique SS12 Cleo T.

I loved the use of pink tones, the rose gold shimmering fabrics and the hint of mermaid theme so I based this street-style look around this idea paring my T with some other things I already had.

I liked so much of the collection but I definitely think the flatform shoes had to be amongst my favourite items!

Paris meets Bombay!!!

Just Amazing!!

Tropical Trench

Trench: Best of British, Boater Hat: H&M, Dress: Primark, Bag: H&M

When the weathers going from summery sunshine, hot and wet to cold and back again your not sure what to wear some days.
Here I am going to visit a botanical garden and I wanted to mix the trench with tropical flowers to give the feel of going on a safari in a jungle.

For some reason it made me think of Henri Rousseau's paintings which I always use to draw when I was young. One of my favourites being the last one, The Snake Charmer, 1907.

Scarfs on Top

The high-street seemed to go crazy for scarf prints after the Versace H&M release and I loved all the scarf prints at D&G SS12 show. I would of loved to have wrapped them all around me but then it would have been difficult to walk outside confident enough that something that shouldn't was not going to pop out any minute as one of them decided to go on a wonder.
Here I decided to pair my Versace H&M scarf with this orange pencil skirt for a sleek look and think it looks better than a mini when opting for a cropped style on top.

The pattern of this scarf is so beautiful that I actually hang it on the wall when I am not wearing it. Amongst the leopard print it is full of palm trees, sea and  a sunset. It is perfect to wear on holidays or even grey days when you want to brighten up the day.

Flower Girl

You would maybe think that the overpowering print and eccentric skirt would stop you styling this dress in various ways but, I have actually found the print and dress so inspiring that for me it has done the opposite. The print, colours and the kookie lampshade shape make you dream and evoke so many thoughts that styling ideas can go one forever. This is one of my favourite ways to wear it. Cute and playful with the accessories to fit with the shape of the skirt and echoing Mary Katrantzou’s love for mixing and clashing prints pairing it with my flower printed wooden platform sandals. Even though this dress has a satin look and quite a formal shape I wanted to emphasise the theme of nature and innocence in the dress also by teaming it with the flower garland and poesy bag.

Marni Maxi

My outfit I wore in Padova.
Something comfortable that I could go from day to night in.
I went to a lovely pizzeria recommended by my friend and had beautiful olive oil with cedro extract that I wish I could find somewhere else as it was delicious.
